Monkey Island Inc. was co-founded by childhood friends Josh Becerra, Colin Hirdman and Zack Steven in 2006, named after a park in the St. Paul neighborhood where they grew up. The three share a passion for entrepreneurship and community building, and founded the company in an effort to "be the change" they wanted to see in the world.

MISSION
We're passionate about leveraging technology to connect people and strengthen communities. We've been heavily influenced by Robert Putnam's work on social capital, including his book Bowling Alone.
